Consistently co-purifies with the degradosome. Probable false positive lipoprotein prediction, 12 CM TMs, Cys not conserved. First 33 aa are predicted to be a type I signal peptide; the first 40 aa enable export of a fusion protein into the periplasm (McLaggan, 2002). mscS, kefA, yjeP, ybiO, ybdG and ynaI are paralogs.[4]
