Page Generator
Do you need to generate a page for the EcoliWiki, but worried about getting all of those boxes in the right place? No worries! You can use this page to automatically create a new page with all the formatting. Below, you'll find a header for each type of page that can be automatically generated.

Blank Page
The blank page is given to start writing free text. If you would like to create a page that does not exist in EcoliWiki, use the blank page template to start adding information! Simply enter the name of the page you wish to create and Click Save to save the page to the wiki.
Bioinformatic Tools
Adding a new bioinformatics tools page to EcoliWiki is easy. Simply type in the name of the new tool to be added to the EcoliWiki in the box below. Then click create. This will preload a new page for you. You can edit the page directly and then click save. Or, if you prefer, create the new page by clicking save. Then, you may edit the page by each sub-heading.
Cis-element
For adding a new Cis-element to EcoliWiki, please type the name of the Cis-element you would like to add in the box below. Then click create. This will preload a new page for you. You can edit the page directly and then click save. Or, if you prefer, create the new page by clicking save. Then, you may edit the page by each sub-heading.

Complex
Create a new Complex Page by entering the name of the complex in the text box below. Click Create. This will load a page with the template information for you. Click Save to save the page to the Wiki.
Databases
Adding a new database to EcoliWiki is easy. Simply type in the name of the new database to be added to the EcoliWiki in the box below. Then click create. This will preload a new page for you. You can edit the page directly and then click save. Or, if you prefer, create the new page by clicking save. Then, you may edit the page by each sub-heading.
Gene
For adding a new gene to EcoliWiki, please type the name of the gene you would like to add in the box below. Then click create. This will preload a new page for you. Please note that the page will be in the QuickView format. You can edit the page directly and then click save. Or, if you prefer, create the new page by clicking save. Then, you may edit the page by each sub-heading.

Literature Page
For creating a new Literature page, you'll need the PMID number. Once you have that, simply enter PMID:### into the box, where ### is the PMID number.
Methods
To create a new page about laboratory methods, type in the name of the page-name in the box below. Then click create. This will create an empty Methods page for you. You can edit the page directly and then click save. Or, if you prefer, create the new page by clicking save. Then, you may edit the page by each sub-heading.
Phage lambda Cloning Vector
Create a new Phage Cloning Vector Page by entering the name of the Phage Vector in the text box below. Click Create. This will load a page with the template information for you. Click Save to save the page to the Wiki.
Physiological Processes
For creating a new Physiological Process, please type the name of the process you would like to add in the box below. Then click create. This will preload a new page for you. You can edit the page directly and then click save. Or, if you prefer, create the new page by clicking save. Then, you may edit the page by each sub-heading.
Plasmid
For creating a new Plasmid Page, please type the name of the plasmid you would like to add in the box below, then click create. This will preload a new page for you. You can edit the page directly and then click save. Please type the name of the plasmid pPlasmid.
Puzzle
To create a new Puzzle Page, please type the unanswered question you would like to add in the box below, then click create. This will preload a new page for you. You can edit the page directly and then click save.
Strain Page
Create a new Strain Page by entering the name of the strain in the text box below, after "Strain:". The page prefix allows us to quickly distinguish strains with names like 58 from other kinds of entities (e.g. phage genes) with similar names.
The strain page-maker has been temporarily disabled while we bulk-add Strain pages. We are currently in the process of adding the strain genealogy for Escherichia coli under the Category:Strains page.
