YciM has six tandem TPR repeats that are usually involved in protein-protein interactions. SignalP weakly predicts a 24 aa signal peptide and also indicates a less likely 16 aa signal peptide which is annotated in UniProt; this ambiguiity and uncertainty means that experimental verification is needed.[4]
