pRS551 is a derivative of pRS415 differing only in that the selectable kan gene from Tn903 was inserted between bla and Tl4.[1]
History
pRS551- was constructed by inserting a 1696 bp PvuII fragment containing the kan gene and promoter from Tn903 [4] at the junction between bla and T14 of pRS415
