Description (originally from EcoCyc[1]) Tol-Pal Cell Envelope Complex

Comments (originally from EcoCyc[1]) The Tol-Pal system of the Escherichia coli cell envelope is made up of seven proteins. These system proteins are encoded by genes organized into two operons. The first encodes YbgC, TolQ, TolR, TolA, TolB, Pal and YbgF and the second from an inner promoter encodes TolB, Pal and YbgF [2][3][2][4][5][2][6][7][8][9][2][10][11][12][13][12][14][7][15].
