OmpA expression is elevated during biofilm formation (Orme, 2006). OmpA is required for biofilm formation under some condtions. Translation of OmpF is inhibited by the rseX sRNA. Alkali-inducible Binds TrxA (Kumar, 2004). Perhaps because it is so abundant, OmpA is found in some inner membrane preparations.<ref name='LIB:EcoGene'/>
