Notes

YjaZ (HtrC) was mistakenly thought to be essential for growth at high temperature and under sigma 32 (heat shock) regulation, but has now been shown not to be required for growth at high temperature; the original htrC mutant strains were found to not have a yjaZ(htrC) mutation (Thacker, 2006).[4]
