Notes

Tap sense dipeptides indirectly through the periplasmic dipeptide binding protein DppA. Tap is a low-abundance chemoreceptor, 5- 10-fold lower than Tar and Tsr. Tap can function as a cold receptor during thermotaxis. Tap senses low pH as a repellent.[4]
