The Inovirus genus belongs to the Inovirdae family of bacterial viruses, which all have circular single (+) stranded DNA genomes and helical symmetry.[1] There are 42 phage in the FamilyInoviridae, which have been classified into 29 species.[1] Their hosts include E. coli, Clostridium and Propionibacterium. They vary in length as well as rigidity, but do not have any lipid components. [1]
