This table is to record measurements of the intracellular levels of gene products or mRNAs. The format of this table is controlled by Template:MoleculesPerCellTable. We can modify the options in the pulldown menus as needed.
Fields
Molecule
What is being measured in the experiment being reported?
- Protein - a direct measure of the amount of a protein of interest
- RNA
- Enzyme activity - level of enzyme activity, which could allow calculation of molecules/cell if we know the specific activity.
Organism or Strain
To indicate genotype, use a link to a strain page.
Cellular level/Units
Indicate the value measured, with error bars where available.
Unit options are:
- molecules/cell|
- units/mg protein
- per genome equivalent
- % of total protein/RNA
Growth conditions
Medium
Again, links can be used to provide more detail.
Temperature
in degrees Celsius
Other (e.g. anaerobic)
Other modifications of the growth conditions not captured by medium and temperature.
Growth rate
Growth rates should be reported for physiology measurements as a check for reproducibility.
