Notes
YjjI and ortholog H. influenzae HI0521 have been reported to be PflB homologs (Kolker, 2004). Adjacent yjjW is a radical SAM activase (PflA, NrdG) homolog that probably binds and activates YjjI. YjjI 's only COG1328 (NrdD) hit has E = 0.002 in NCBI CD search, but close BLAST hits (e.g HI0521=P44744; 40% identity) are PflB-like (COG1882). This may indicate specialization of YjjI away from both PflB and NrdD activities. COG1328 and COG1882 belong to the same diverse superfamily of glycine radical enzymes.[4]
