UlaG has phosphodiesterase activity with model substrate bis-pNPPAFMB (Kuznetsova, 2005). Structural Genomics target No. 53 (http://afmb.cnrs-mrs.fr/article171.html). The ula divergon is comprised of the two divergent ulaGR and ulaABCDEF operons.[4]
