Notes

SeqA is required for the membrane binding of hemimethylated oriC in vitro. SeqA may facilitate cII binding to phage lambda promoters, enhancing transcription. SeqA self-association function is in the N-terminal domain. DNA-binding activity is in C-terminal domain. SeqA expression is negatively modulated by HU. SeqA is a homotetramer. aphA(hobH) mutants overproduce SeqA.[4]
