Notes
Translation and secretion of SecM regulates downstream secA gene expression. First 37 aa are predicted signal peptide. The arrest sequence is 150-FXXXXWIXXXXGIRAGP-166. The arrested peptide ends with G165: P-166 encodes an arrest requirement for free Pro166-tRNA in the ribosomal peptidyl transferase A site (Muto 2006).[4]
