Notes
First 25 aa are predicted to be a signal peptide. Verified Tat substrate: YfhG has a Tat/Sec (Class II) predicted 25 aa signal peptide (Tullman-Ercek, 2007). Although the YfhG signal peptide has been shown to be capable of mediating Tat-dependent and Tat-independent translocation in a fusion reporter system (Tullman-Ercek, 2007), the twin arginines are not conserved. A lipoprotein prediction based on a conserved Cys at the predicted cleavage site may need to be resolved experimentally.[4]
