Notes

pKLAC1-malE is a backbone integrative expression vector that directs high-level expression of recombinant protein from the yeast Kluyveromyces lactis. It carries the E.coli malE gene, encoding the maltose binding protein. pKLAC1-malE can also be used to test plasmid transformation, cell culture, and protein production procedures. [1]

History

A standard plasmid purification procedure was used to derive pKLAC1-malE from E. coli strain ER2268.
