Notes
pGEM-9Zf(-) can be used for many cloning strategies, ssDNA production, and efficient RNA synthesis in vitro. Within the α-peptide coding region of β-galactosidase is included a multiple cloning site enclosed by T7 and SP6 RNA polymerase promoters on either side. Inactivation of the α-peptide through insertion allows for the simple blue/white color screening for recombinant clones. Also, pGEM-9Zf(-) contains an exisable SP6/T7 insert.
