Notes
This vector is designed for for expressing C-terminal, HisGln (HQ) metal-binding peptide fusion proteins in bacteria and in vitro protein expression systems via the T7 RNA promoter. There is a HQ tag that attaches to the C-terminus of a protein and can be used to purify the expressed protein using the MagneHis, MagZ, HisLink 96 or HisLink Protein Purification Systems. This vector, lacks the Pme I site, but contains the Sgf I site. In addition, it also uses the blunt-end site EcoICR I to create a readthrough sequence when joined to a protein-coding region connected by Sgf I and Pme I. Unlike pFC7A (HQ), this vector is kanamycin resistant. It also purifies protein through a metal affinity resin.
