Notes

This vector is one of two CMV Flexi vectors of its kind. pF4A CMV is designed to express consitutive native proteins in mammalian cells. This is done through the human cytomegalovirus (CMV) intermediate-early enhancer/promoter. In addition to that, this vector contains the T7 RNA polymerase promoter capable for in vitro protein expression For stable expresion, cotransfection with a vector containing a selectable marker is required. Transient gene expression can also be used with this vector. Compared to the other vector pF4K CMV, pF4A CMV vector is available with ampicilin resistance.
