Notes

The pF3A WG(BYDV) vector is one of two vectors inthe Wheat Germ Extract Plus. The Wheat Germ Extrast Plus is a highly efficient, single tube protein expression. In the extract exists all cellular substances that are required for protein synthesis including tRNA, ribosomes, amino acids, initiation factors, elongation factors, and termination factors.To enhance the translation of a wide range of RNAs potassium acetate is added at a certain concentration. The initation of protein synthesis is started by the addition of an mRNA template and the reaction is then incubated for 2 hours.

The vectors pF3A WG (BYDV) and pF3K WG (BYDV) are both designed for in vitro expression in wheat germ extracts. Contained in vectors are sequences from barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV) and RNA plant virus. They are located downstream and upstream of the protein coding region of interest.
