Notes

Encodes lac repressor which binds to the T7lac promoter to block basal transcription of the gene of interest and to the lacUV5 promoter in the host chromosome to repress transcription of T7 RNA polymerase.

The TEV recognition site allows for the removal of the N- terminal tag from recombinanat protein using TEV protease.

During expression, your protein of interest can reach levels greater than 50 percent of total cellular protein.
