Notes

pBAD/Thio-E is a member of the Echo Cloning System family of expression vectors, designed for tightly regulated expression in E. coli. Expression in E. coli is driven by the araBAD promoter (PBAD). The AraC gene product encoded on the pBAD/Thio-E plasmid positively regulates this promoter. Recombinant proteins are expressed as fusions to His-Patch thioredoxin for high-level expression.
