Notes
Unlike the other potassium transporters, Kup transports Cs+ and Rb+ as well as K+ (Bossemeyer, 1989); this finding corrects an earlier report of Rb+ ion discrimination by Kup, from the same lab (Rhoads, 1977).[4]
