Notes
Phosphorylation of Enzyme IIAGlc is necessary for direct translational control of rpoS. Formerly EIII(glc). Dephosphorylation of Enzyme IIAGlc causes inhibition of uptake of a number of non-PTS carbon sources, a process called inducer exclusion. PTS is the phosphoenolpyruvate:carbohydrate phosphotransferase system for the uptake of carbohydrates that are phosphorylated during transport. Binds TrxA (Kumar, 2004).[4]
