Annotation of GalE to GO:0009269 response to desiccation
The presence of colanic acid is correlated with the ability to survive desiccation, but I don't think there is evidence that colanic acid synthesis responds to desiccation. This needs to be investigated. Siegele 05:01, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
