Help:Gbrowse/PCR primers

You can use Gbrowse to design PCR primers. Gbrowse its interface to run primer3 to design primers.

  • Select the region of interest
  • Select Design PCR primers from the menu above the overview. Cllick Go.

Gbrowse will open a new window for the PrimerDesigner interface.

The PrimerDesigner screen. You can use the defaults or click and drag to select a different target area
  • Select the area you want to amplify
  • Adjust the parameters, if necessary
  • Click Design Primers. Gbrowse will run primer3 and show the primers found.
