About
Description (originally from EcoCyc[1]) lipid A disaccharide synthase
Comments (originally from EcoCyc[1]) Lipid A disaccharide synthase (LpxB) catalyzes the fifth step in lipid A biosynthesis.
LpxB catalyzes the condensation of 2,3-bis(3-hydroxymyristoyl)-β-D-glucosaminyl 1-phosphate and UDP-2,3-bis(3-hydroxymyristoyl)glucosamine (lipid X) to form lipid A disaccharide [2][3][4][5][4][6][7][8][9].
