About

Description (originally from EcoCyc[1][2]) formaldehyde dehydrogenase, glutathione-dependent

Comments (originally from EcoCyc[1][2]) Hydroxymethylglutathione is the best substrate for the enzyme, but it can also use the hemithiolacetals of thiooctanoate and thioheptanoate as substrates [3][4].
