  • It was found that in order to be effective in intact cells, albicidin concentration had to be increase 100-fold to completely inhibit DNA replication in permeabilized cells. Albicidin at lower concentrations caused a slower inhibition of DNA replication. See figure 4 for full experimental results and description.[1]
