Notes
sucAB is a synthetic lethal with sucCD. Residues 104-153 is the E3(Lpd) component binding domain, called the peripheral subunit binding domain (PSBD). When the isolated 50 aa PSBD domain is produced as a protein it is called BBL, which is structuerd at low temperature and may be an example of a downhill protein folding (Packman, 1986; Garcia-Mira, 2002). This controversial topic, centered around experiments with a naphthyl-alanine derivative of BBL termed Naf-BBL, has a topic page with additional citations.[1]
