About FlyBase

FlyBase is a database of genetic and molecular data for D. melanogaster and other Drosophila species.

FlyBase contains information about the structure and function of genes and gene products of the Drosophila genome. Although the primary species represented is Drosophila melanogaster, Flybase incorporates information on all Drosophilidae, and now houses the genome data for eleven additional Drosophila species.
