Notes
tbpA-thiPQ operon expression is controlled by a thiamine pyrophosphate (TPP) responsive riboswitch in the 5' UTR. This THI element has been reported in intergenic sRNA searches as sroA/tpe79. The tbpA riboswitch is the target for the antibiotic pyrithiamine. The corrected U00096.2 sequence revises the sequence of the TbpA signal peptide, previous thought to be 14 aa.[4]
