NupX (YeiJ) was reported to be a nucleoside transporter, and to be co-expressed with rihB (as indicated by polarity of an IS50 insertion upstream of rihB on nupX (yeiJ) expression, B. Mygind and C. Petersen, preliminary results cited in Petersen (2001). nupC, nupX, and yegT are paralogs. CNT family.[4]
