Notes

CmoA catalyzes an intermediate step(s) in tRNA(cmo5U34) and tRNA(mcmo5U34) synthesis that forms uridine-5-oxyacetic acid (cmo5U) and uridine-5-oxyacetic acid methyl ester (mcmo5U) in tRNA. The cmoA ortholog is functionally characterized in S. typhimurium. YecO is paralogous to YgdE and FtsJ. otherPDB (H. influenzae): 1IM8. Modeling of 1IM8 suggests substrate might be a benzoic acid derivative, possibly consistent with a chorismic acid requirement for the synthesis of cmo(5)U34.[4]
