Notes

Prohibitin homology (PHB) domain. QmcA is oligomeric and interacts with ftsH. QmcA suppressor activity, but not protein synthesis, is stimulated by downstream NfeD/STOPP family gene ybbJ. QmcA expression from the chromosome is detected, but must be insufficient for suppression. QmcA is not stably complexed with FtsH, but they do physically interact.[4]
