Notes

FeoB GTPase actvity is required for ferrous iron uptake; it slowly hydrolyzes its bound GTP. FeoB may be a primordial archetype of G protein-regulated membrane proteins. Fur regulon. Fnr regulon. An feoB mutant is unable to colonize the mouse intestine.[4]
